About This Role

Oversee all aspects of human resources practices and processes at a plant level, managing employee relations, performance, and talent. Ensure compliance with employment laws and company policies while supporting environmental, health, and safety standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead employee survey and action planning initiatives
  • Plan and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitudes toward company goals
  • Ensure proper records of personnel transactions such as promotions, transfers, performance reviews, and terminations
  • Communicate company benefits and assist with open enrollment and related activities
  • Monitor the corrective action process to ensure fairness and consistency
  • Monitor Absence control program
  • Develop and ensure employee recognition and positive employee relations activities
  • Prepare reports and recommend procedures to reduce absenteeism and turnover
  • Represent the organization at personnel-related hearings and investigations
  • Keep records of hired employee characteristics for governmental purposes
  • Improve plant personnel policies and design/formalize local policies as needed
  • Direct the development of Employee Engagement activities
  • Coordinate Yearly performance review process and track timeliness
  • Organize and monitor annual training requirements (e.g., ADIENT Ethics Training, HS&E)
  • Coordinate with EHS on Workers’ Compensation, medical, and accommodation programs
  • Ensure proper investigations related to employee complaints on harassment, discrimination, and related issues
  • Collaborate with the Plant Manager to align development plans for an improved workplace
  • Develop and monitor HR KPIs such as turnover rate, absenteeism, and employee engagement index
  • Act as a business partner to operations by aligning workforce planning, training, and leadership development with production objectives
  • Coordinate company-wide events, celebrations, and community activities to strengthen teamwork and morale
  • Train and develop HR staff
  • Support the protection of the environment, personal safety, prevention of pollution, and continual improvement of the Environmental Management System
  • Provide leadership to the HR team in accident prevention and ensuring compliance with OSHA and EPA/TCEQ standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR management experience
  • In-depth knowledge of labor law and HR best practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills
  • Proficiency in HRIS and MS Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 5+ years of HR management experience

Nice to Have

  • Master’s degree in related field
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification
