Planner/Scheduler

About This Role

This Planner/Scheduler position at Elmet Technologies is responsible for creating production orders and managing production schedules within SAP to achieve monthly goals and improve on-time delivery performance for high-performance metals.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain all routings in SAP for MS parts
• Create Production Orders and Bill of Materials
• Maintain established MS schedule and coordinate movement of parts through the shop until orders are shipped
• Update daily transactions in SAP and MS Excel
• Distribute Open Order Report and hold weekly review meetings
• Periodically review Production Orders to ensure on-time shipping
• Coordinate efforts from different departments to optimize throughput and achieve monthly goals and On Time Delivery improvement
• Print and Distribute Physical Inventory Tags and coordinate efforts to accurately count inventory
• Maintain work area in a clean, safe and orderly condition

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Engineering or equivalent
• 7 years experience in Production Planning or related field
• Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Professional telephone and interpersonal skills
• U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident

• Experience in machine shop or manufacturing environment
• Experience in working with Enterprise Resource Planning tools
