Lead and supervise pipefitter crews, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient maintenance operations. In this role, you will assign work, coach your team, and support maintenance practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise pipefitter crews in daily and scheduled maintenance
- Ensure safe work practices, hazard identification, and housekeeping standards
- Provide technical guidance on repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment rebuilds
- Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Coordinate schedules with other maintenance disciplines
- Monitor job progress and approve completed work
- Maintain preventive maintenance programs and support major equipment evaluations
- Ensure parts, tools, and materials are available for planned work
- Build strong relationships with union and management teams
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 5-10 years of maintenance experience
- Welding experience/certifications
- Strong PM/PdM, FMEA, and CMMS experience
- Knowledge of mechanical/electrical systems, tools, and maintenance techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, technical plans, and engineering documents
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED; technical training or degree preferred
- 5-10 years of maintenance experience (electrical, mechanical, or fluid systems)
