The University of Kansas Health System is seeking an Unaccredited Fellow, Junior Faculty member, to join its rapidly growing team of Otorhinolaryngology physicians, fellows and residents. This one-year fellowship encompasses Head and Neck Oncology Surgery and interdisciplinary patient management. The role involves significant clinical and research involvement.
Responsibilities
- Serve as a primary or assisting surgeon on all head and neck oncology surgeries
- See inpatient and outpatient clinical patients for various presenting complaints pertaining to Otolaryngology
- Participate in the ENT call pool, taking staff call
- Act as a teaching physician resource for residents
- Supervise residents on call
- Serve as an attending surgeon for urgent and emergent procedures during on-call time
- Have didactic teaching responsibilities including resident/medical student lectures
- Deliver one or two presentations at Grand Rounds
Requirements
- MD, DO or equivalent
- Completion of ACGME-approved Otolaryngology residency
- Board certified/eligible in Otolaryngology
- Eligible for licensure in Kansas and Missouri
