About This Role

This role is for a talented and experienced photographer to produce captivating product and lifestyle photography for Surya, working from concept to post-production in a fast-paced studio and warehouse environment to create eye-catching visuals for various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality images of rugs and home accessories for product, eCommerce, room environments, and styled shots.
• Collaborate with Product Development and cross-functional teams to meet deadlines and deliver projects within budget.
• Lead and oversee photo shoots, ensuring proper placement of products, props, and lighting for brand consistency.
• Participate in the full creative process, including styling, set building, and preparing merchandise.
• Manage multiple sets concurrently, translating creative direction and sketches into impactful visuals.
• Edit images as required, including resizing, cropping, color correcting, and file conversion.
• Organize and manage digital assets efficiently, ensuring proper file naming conventions and metadata tagging.
• Handle physical setup of cameras, products, and equipment during shoots.
• Implement new photography techniques such as CGI, 3D modeling, and photogrammetry.
• Collaborate to improve studio workflows for efficiency, scalability, and utilization of the latest tools and techniques.
• Assist with additional company photography needs as requested.

Requirements

• 4+ years of professional experience in commercial studio photography
• Expert knowledge of lighting setups for product and interior photography
• Proficiency in Capture One, Adobe Photoshop, and the Adobe Creative Suite
• Experience in tethered shooting workflows
• Working experience with Canon cameras and lenses
• Experience with Digital Asset Management (DAM) systems
• Highly organized and deadline-oriented with the ability to juggle multiple projects
• Meticulous eye for detail and color accuracy, with experience in advanced color management techniques
• Strong problem-solving skills

Qualifications

• A minimum of 4+ years of professional experience in commercial studio photography is required.

Nice to Have

• Strong background in home decor, interior design, or furniture photography
