This part-time Pharmacy Technician role supports the Nebraska Medicine HUB Pharmacy by performing prescription order entry and assisting patients with phone calls.
Responsibilities
- Perform prescription order entry (data entry and claims adjudication) through McKesson EnterpriseRx software
- Triage and assist with patient phone calls
- Prepare and dispense medication upon receiving prescription from prescribers under direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
- Process all related duties under the direct supervision of a licensed pharmacist
Requirements
- Minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to attend and successfully complete 160 hours of on the job training
- Ability to complete moderate to difficult mathematical calculations using a hand held calculator
Qualifications
- High school education or equivalent required
Nice to Have
- Work experience which demonstrates analytical ability, judgment, and interpersonal skills in pharmacy or healthcare
- College coursework in pharmacy
- Ability to type 20 wpm (with error correction)
