About This Role

The Pharmacy Liaison 1 will obtain prior authorization approvals for medications, assist patients with timely pharmacy access, and resolve prescription billing issues for Inova Loudoun Hospital Retail Pharmacy.

Responsibilities

Utilize clinical documentation to obtain prior authorization approvals and appeals
Assist patients with timely pharmacy access to medications and document related communications
Work with payers to obtain coverage for patients and appropriate emergency overrides
Resolve prescription insurance billing problems
Clean equipment, maintain required temperature logs, and accurate inventory
Maintain accurate and up to date patient profiles, allergies, and medication reconciliation lists

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
3 years' experience as a Pharmacy Technician
1 year experience with Pharmacy Billing
Registered Pharmacy Technician in Virginia
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 3 months of hire

Qualifications

High School or GED
Three (3) years' experience working as a Pharmacy Technician and One (1) year experience with Pharmacy Billing.
