Pet Sitter

About This Role

Join the Passionately Pets Team as a pet sitter and dog walker, providing in-home care for pets while their owners are away. This role offers a fun and rewarding opportunity to enjoy the outdoors, get exercise, and interact with animals.

Responsibilities

• Work weekdays, weekends, and holidays, as visits vary based on client needs
• Enter client homes and visit with pets for varying lengths of time (usually 15-30 minutes each)
• Act as primary caregivers for pets while their owners are away
• Walk pets as requested
• Feed pets as requested
• Provide appropriate litter box and/or cage clean up as required
• Check that pets have ample, clean water supply and refill as necessary
• Patrol homes for accidents or damage caused by pets in the absence of their owners
• Clean any accidents or damage discovered in client homes
• Communicate with Management

Requirements

• Northern VA residence within 5 miles of 22301
• Own, reliable mode of transportation
• Own reliable Smart Phone with internet access and data plan
• Extremely detail oriented
• Able to follow detailed instructions
• Responsible, reliable, and dependable
• Timely and punctual
• Able to self-manage
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Compassionate about animals
• Comfortable working with and interacting with both small and large animals
• Willing to walk and drive in all weather conditions
• Able to make at least a 6 month commitment
• Able to pass criminal background check
