Personal Trainer

About This Role

This role involves planning, administering, and evaluating exercise prescriptions for cardiac outpatients under leadership. The Personal Trainer facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to patient care and attainment of department goals.

Responsibilities

• Plan and administer assigned exercise instructor functions and duties
• Assess, implement, and evaluate exercise prescriptions for cardiac outpatients
• Facilitate multidisciplinary approach to patient care and attainment of department goals
• Provide excellent customer service, adapting classes to meet individual age-related needs
• Design and develop warm-ups, exercises that meet class descriptions, and safe and effective exercise techniques
• Explain exercise variations through verbal or physical instruction to accommodate all levels
• Market the Motion Center fitness center and Personal Training program
• Attend scheduled instructor meetings/staff meetings and complete assignments in a timely manner
• Teach scheduled classes, ensuring a substitute is found if needed
• Share available resources and information with others, respecting opinions and values

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology
• AHA Basic Life Support for Healthcare Professional (AHA BLS Healthcare)

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science/Physiology

Nice to Have

• 1 Year teaching experience
• ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiac Life Support)
• Certified Clinical Exercise Specialist (CES)
• ACE Certification

Certifications
