About This Role

Provide individual and family counseling as a Per Diem Mental Health Clinician in a community setting, preventing behavioral health needs for children, adolescents, and their families through assessments, treatment planning, and crisis intervention.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical services within the child and family environment (home, school, or community location), including telehealth as appropriate
  • Provide crisis management by stabilizing the child/youth and assisting with goal setting
  • Provide clients and their families with goal-directed community services and solution-focused interventions
  • Collaborate with children and families to develop diagnoses and treatment plans that meet medical necessity and honor cultural identities
  • Establish diagnoses using DSM-V and relevant assessment tools to create measurable treatment plans
  • Work collaboratively with the child and family system of care, including various residential, behavioral health, and community services
  • Complete progress notes via Electronic Clinical Record (ECR) within 24 hours of service provision
  • Adhere to all agency policies, procedures, and productivity expectations
  • Participate in clinical supervision, case consultation, staff meetings, and trainings as required
  • Maintain a minimum of 10 billable client service hours per week (Per Diem)

Requirements

  • License-eligible, hold a provisional license, or be fully licensed as an LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC
  • LMSW candidates eligible for or actively pursuing "C" designation
  • LMHC candidates eligible for or actively pursuing Diagnostic Privilege/Permit
  • Ability to work independently and as an enthusiastic team player
  • Ability to work nights and/or provide non-traditional hours at least 2 days per week
  • Knowledgeable in Evidence Based behavioral interventions and assessments
  • Ability to work effectively with clients, staff, families, and community contacts
  • Valid New York State driver’s license, adequate auto insurance, and reliable transportation
