This role involves building foundational learning, development, and performance management programs from the ground up within a growing healthcare organization.
Responsibilities
- Partner with an external consultant to design and maintain goal setting, evaluations, and feedback processes
- Link performance data to learning and development opportunities
- Align performance goals with individualized development plans and career progression pathways
- Build tools and frameworks for ongoing coaching and development conversations
- Train managers and employees on goal setting, feedback, and performance practices
- Monitor adoption and effectiveness, recommending improvements as needed
- Lead onboarding, role-based training, and professional development programs
- Oversee ECM-specific training, ensuring compliance and quality
- Design and implement career pathing frameworks that outline growth opportunities
- Develop and deliver programs for new and existing supervisors (coaching, people management, compliance)
Requirements
- 5+ years in learning and development, talent management, or organizational development roles
- Experience building programs or systems from scratch
- Experience managing direct reports or instructional teams
- Strong knowledge of adult learning principles and instructional design
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to build relationships and influence at all levels within a distributed workforce
- Proficiency with LMS platforms (e.g., Relias)
- Proficiency with virtual collaboration tools (Google Suite, Salesforce Health Cloud, Smartsheet)
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in HR, Organizational Development, Education, or related field
- 5+ years in learning and development, talent management, or organizational development roles
Nice to Have
- Experience in healthcare, social services, or Medi-Cal/Medicaid programs
- Experience supporting performance management system implementation or organizational change initiatives
