PCB Design Layout Engineer

About This Role

This role involves performing PCB layout of high-speed/high-density PCBs for various NVIDIA business units, focusing on floor planning, component placement, and constraint management to ensure signal integrity and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Perform PCB layout of high-speed/high-density value conscious PCBs for all NVIDIA business units (GPU Desktop, Notebook, Automotive, Professional, Data Center, Deep Learning and AI)
• Focus on complete development of PCB layout, floor planning and detailed component placement
• Manage constraints with a concept of topology and signal/trace integrity
• Ensure designs follow SI constraints, EMI/RFI control and FCC, UL and European regulations, IPC specifications and NRC regulations

Requirements

• B.S.E.E or Computer Sciences degree (or equivalent experience)
• At least 12+ years industry experience
• Knowledge of PCB design and consideration for layout, routing, and timing constraints, DFM, DFA, and DFT constraints in volume manufacturing
• Understanding of High-Density Interconnect PCB layout and PCB Signal Integrity
• Proven ability to work with a team while taking personal responsibility for contributions
• Agility in changing focus as needs evolve
• Strong leadership, communication, and presentation abilities

Qualifications

• B.S.E.E or Computer Sciences degree or equivalent experience
• At least 12 plus years industry experience

Nice to Have

• Experience in high-speed PCB design
• Experience in designing PCBs in the 25Gbps+ range using back-drilling technology
• Building complex multi-layer HDI PCBs for very dense placement and routing
• Knowledge with Cadence Allegro PCB design tool
