This role involves greeting, engaging, and consulting customers on their flooring needs, acting as their trusted advisor to identify solutions and complete sales. The position focuses on growing retail business through relationship development and follow-up.
Responsibilities
- Greet, engage, and consult customers on their flooring needs
- Identify solutions for flooring needs and consummate sales
- Take payment for sales per established credit policy
- Facilitate communications, logistics, and transactional items on orders to ensure customer satisfaction
- Grow retail business via relationship development and follow-up
- Prospect for business opportunities through referrals, real estate agents, owner builders, remodelers, insurance and restoration, and past customers
- Meet or exceed company’s established standards
- Maintain a professional code of conduct, dress, appearance, and language
- Be a team player, treat all peers with respect and equal attention to needed functions
- Be willing to help and consummate a sale of any size
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2-3 years’ previous selling experience
- Basic computer skills including Outlook
- Above average math and communication skills
- Ability to work schedule established by manager, including weekends
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrate effective problem solving skills
