Payroll and Human Resources Associate

About This Role

This role is responsible for overseeing human resources activities including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, payroll, and compliance at a Jesuit college preparatory school. The Payroll and Human Resources Associate will also provide support to employees and collaborate with faculty and staff to enhance the overall employee experience.

Responsibilities

• Ensure bi-weekly payrolls are processed in a timely and accurate manner following internal controls
• Maintain accurate payroll records and employee files
• Manage the full recruitment cycle, including job postings
• Coordinate new employee orientation and onboarding programs
• Administer employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, and leave policies
• Assist with the open enrollment process
• Provide support to employees regarding benefits inquiries and issues
• Maintain accurate employee records and databases
• Identify and implement process improvements as needed

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance or Accounting
• 3-5 years payroll processing experience
• Strong understanding of Human Resources best practices, employment law and compliance
• Advanced computer skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Suites
• Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Finance or Accounting
• 3-5 years payroll processing experience
