Payroll Administrator

About This Role

Process weekly payroll, audit employee data, and ensure compliance with labor laws for a leading transportation company.

Responsibilities

• Process payroll, payroll audits, and all employee profile changes
• Assist with processing, accuracy, and distribution of weekly payroll
• Demonstrates general knowledge of payroll labor laws
• Provide information and answer employee questions about payroll-related matters
• Complete various reports, such as BLS and Multiple Worksite Reports
• Communicate positively and professionally with employees and management
• Provide assistance to internal and external auditors by providing reports and answering questions
• Perform various tasks and projects within the HR and Payroll department (e.g., Verification of Employment, Wage Garnishments)
• Assist new hires with onboarding
• Maintain and audit Driver Training records

Requirements

• 3+ years in a Payroll Office performing all payroll functions
• Excellent skills using Excel, Word, and other Microsoft Office Suite products
• Strong skills in using and understanding the flow of transactions in an integrated and automated payroll system
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise extreme discretion
• Excellent problem-solving/judgment skills, and a high level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Knowledge of an electronic payroll/HRIS system (e.g., Paycom)

Qualifications

• Three plus years in a Payroll Office performing all payroll functions
