Provide compassionate, individualized patient care and support by attending to personal needs and comfort, operating under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. This role assists the nursing staff with non-technical tasks and contributes to a positive healthcare experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide individualized, culture-specific patient care
- Attend to the personal needs and comfort of patients
- Assist professional or licensed nurse in tasks requiring less technical skills
- Participate in shift and bedside report
- Participate in and support regional, facility, department, and unit initiatives
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT Certificate
- CPR certification
Qualifications
- High School Diploma/GED or a valid CNA or PCA/PCT Certificate
- N/A minimum; one year preferred as nursing assistant in acute care setting
Nice to Have
- One year of experience as a nursing assistant in an acute care setting
- EKG training in selected units
- CNA/LNA from the Arizona State Board of Nursing
