As a Parts Sales Representative, you will handle parts order requests via multiple channels, utilizing manufacturer catalogs to assist customers and internal departments. This role is crucial for ensuring efficient inventory management and providing solutions for customer needs within the trucking community.
Responsibilities
- Handle parts order requests via telephone, e-mail, or in-person
- Utilize manufacturer and vendor catalogs to locate parts for customers, internal and external
- Advise customers on related parts
- Follow up on backordered parts, and contact customer with status
- Ensure that inventory control practices are followed
- Communicate with Parts Manager on inventory issues
- Communicate with Service Department regarding parts availability and pricing
- Provide solutions for the needs of our customers
- Assist with other projects as needed
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- Two (2) years of heavy truck/auto parts or shop experience
- Customer service skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
