Participant Recruiter

About This Role

This role involves recruiting and screening potential study participants for clinical research studies, managing phone inquiries, and ensuring compliance with research protocols. The recruiter assists in various clinical study activities essential for successful research.

Responsibilities

• Handle in-bound and out-bound telephone calls with potential study subjects and site personnel, responding to inquiries
• Screen potential subjects via telephone using study-specific scripts to determine qualification per protocol requirements
• Schedule screening appointments for qualified participants
• Perform various duties including study screening check-in, in-house stays, OPVs, and other study-related activities
• Read protocols, consent forms, and volunteer information sheets for thorough understanding
• Identify project challenges or potential efficiencies and communicate them to the Manager of Subject Recruitment
• Design and maintain tools for proper recruitment for research studies
• Work professionally with colleagues to achieve departmental goals
• Train staff in processes and procedures as needed
• Perform assigned study procedures such as obtaining participant information, histories, vital signs, EKGs, and specimen collection if trained and delegated

Requirements

• High School Diploma/Equivalent
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to read, write, and interpret English
• Excellent verbal communication skills including active listening
• Detail-oriented with good organizational traits
• Self-motivated, results-oriented, multi-tasking, quick learner
• Proficient computer skills
• Basic knowledge of medications, general medical diagnosis, and medical terminology
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing study environment

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/Equivalent Required
• Prior call center experience preferred but not required.
