This Part-Time Package Handler role involves accurately loading, unloading, and sorting freight to ensure efficient and timely delivery for a rapidly expanding delivery service.
Responsibilities
- Unload packages by hand from fleet vehicles
- Scan package barcode labels while unloading for tracking purposes
- Sort each package by zip code, city, or state
- Stack freight into trailers and routes to prevent damage and utilize space efficiently
- Wash fleet vehicles to maintain company image
- Perform light custodial duties to maintain a clean and safe warehouse environment
Requirements
- At least 16 years of age
- Ability to bend, lift, twist, carry, and slide freight
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively and up to 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work with all types of freight including hazardous material, perishable food, alcohol, firearms, ammunition, and live animals
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
