Teach entry-level Microbiology lectures and/or laboratories, develop course materials, and evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies at the College of Southern Nevada.
Responsibilities
- Teach transferable, entry-level Microbiology lectures and/or laboratories
- Develop syllabi and course materials as directed by the Lead Faculty Member and/or Lab Coordinator
- Evaluate student mastery of skills and competencies required by course outcomes
Requirements
- MS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field (for lectures)
- Experience teaching Microbiology Lectures (for lectures)
- BS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field (for labs)
- Experience teaching Microbiology labs or experience in a laboratory situation (for labs)
- Ability to use educational technologies such as Learning Management Systems and PowerPoint
- Ability and willingness to use email for official communications
Qualifications
- MS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field for lectures, or BS in Biological Sciences or a closely related field for labs
