Part-time Designer

About This Role

This Part-time Designer role focuses on custom space design and organization solutions, requiring strong selling skills and exceptional customer service to manage projects from inquiry to installation.

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain multiple customer projects through all phases with high accuracy, timeliness, and consistent communication
• Collaborate and communicate with customers to design and present customized plans professionally
• Close sales efficiently and build repeat and referral business
• Maintain clear communication with Managers and Support Center partners to complete projects and achieve sales goals
• Drive, motivate, and support all company initiatives by modeling professional and productive behaviors with store employees
• Remain current with The Container Store training, selling, product knowledge, promotions, processes, and philosophies
• Proficiently and consistently use company tools and email
• Actively participate in the daily maintenance of custom spaces showroom and visual presentation of the store
• Handle cash and other valuables appropriately and securely
• Maintain a safe working and shopping environment

Requirements

• Knowledge of all storage and organization solutions and products at The Container Store
• Ability to work scheduled hours and flexibility for additional hours based on business needs
• Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in a professional manner, both orally and in writing
• Strong computer skills: proficiency in Outlook and Word, knowledge of Excel and Salesforce or CRM tools
• Commitment to working scheduled hours and flexibility for additional hours

Qualifications

• College degree preferred
• 2-5 years sales and clientele experience preferred
