Part Time Customer Service Associate

About This Role

Provide exceptional customer service and accurate product knowledge to customers in a retail home center environment. Assist customers with purchases, resolve concerns, and maintain a well-stocked and organized department.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to customers, treating all team members, vendors, and customers with courtesy and respect
• Greet and assist customers in a positive, approachable manner, answering questions and resolving concerns
• Advise customers on solutions to projects and problems, offering add-on sales when appropriate
• Perform necessary customer service tasks including cutting keys, filling propane, running register, and assisting with rental transactions
• Service customers at point of sale, including running register, bagging items, and assisting with loading products
• Recover department daily by ensuring inventory is fronted, faced, and in the correct place, and aisles are clean and organized
• Stock all products properly in the department
• Maintain proper inventory levels by monitoring and adjusting min/max order points, working back stock, and making inventory adjustments
• Complete cycle counts as required and update prices as assigned
• Open and close the store as assigned
• Perform store maintenance including cleaning common areas, trash removal, and parking lot/sidewalk sweeping
• Ensure a safe working environment, maintain situational awareness, and report safety issues to management
• Assist in other departments as necessary

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2+ years of customer service experience
• 1+ years of retail job experience
• 2+ years of product knowledge of items in assigned department
• Open availability for days, evenings, and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 20 lbs
