West Virginia University is seeking part-time adjunct instructors to teach and develop online and in-person courses in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering. This role contributes to the department's expansion and enriches students' education and research, particularly in areas like AI, Cybersecurity, and Software Engineering.
Responsibilities
- Advise and mentor online graduate students
- Teach and develop online asynchronous courses
- Teach in-person undergraduate or graduate students
Requirements
- Expertise in Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning, or Cybersecurity, or Computer Science, or Software Engineering, or Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- Earned doctorate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline at the time of appointment, OR BS and MS degrees in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline from an accredited university with significant (10+ years) industry experience
Qualifications
- Earned doctorate in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline, or a BS and MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or a closely related discipline with significant industry experience.
- 10+ years significant industry experience if holding BS and MS degrees.
