Park Maintenance Technician (Seasonal)

About This Role

The Park Maintenance Technician (Seasonal) is responsible for ensuring that parks and facilities are welcoming, clean, and safe spaces for community recreation. This role involves outdoor work, maintaining grounds, performing minor repairs, and supporting special events.

Responsibilities

• Mow lawns, maintain turf, and repair irrigation systems to keep parks looking fresh
• Handle minor repairs, paint touch-ups, plumbing fixes, and minor electrical repairs
• Operate and maintain power tools, lawnmowers, and County vehicles
• Pick up trash, clean restrooms, and keep public spaces spotless
• Help set up and support special events that bring the community together
• Identify and address potential safety concerns in parks and facilities
• Perform unskilled or limited semi-skilled labor in grounds maintenance and facility upkeep

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to safely operate and maintain tools/equipment
• Ability to communicate and work effectively with County employees and the public
• Willingness to work late evenings, weekends, and holidays
