Join the General Transaction team as a Legal Intern to assist with corporate document preparation, legal research, and due diligence, gaining exposure to corporate legal processes.
Responsibilities
- Assist with preparation and organization of corporate documents, including formation and governance materials
- Conduct basic legal and factual research using online databases and firm resources
- Support due diligence efforts by organizing and reviewing corporate records and third-party materials
- Assist in maintaining corporate minute books and other client files
- Proofread and format legal documents and correspondence
- Attend team meetings and training sessions to gain exposure to corporate legal processes
- Observe and assist in transactional closings, including document preparation and post-closing organization
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to firm policies regarding information handling
- Demonstrate initiative and willingness to learn from feedback and guidance
- Track and report internship hours and progress as required by academic institution or firm guidelines
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate law program at a top-tier law school
- Strong academic performance
Qualifications
- Undergraduate or graduate law program at a top-tier law school
Nice to Have
- Passed the Chinese National Judicial Examination
- Prior internship experience in big law firms
