Perform painting and surface preparation duties according to specifications, working independently in various environments. This role requires precision in preparing and taping surfaces, operating and maintaining painting equipment, and handling parts through the entire painting cycle.
Responsibilities
- Use paints, solvents, and other chemicals for surface preparation and painting
- Work inside the paint booth, shop, wash bay, or outdoors independently
- Operate, clean, and maintain all painting equipment
- Correctly prepare and tape off surfaces before painting
- Safely hang parts for painting
- Carefully remove painted parts from racks and prepare for shipment
- Complete a full painting cycle from preparation to finished product independently
- Maintain a strong personal commitment to safety standards
Requirements
- Minimum of 1 year of industrial paint experience
- Full knowledge of industrial painting and bodywork
- Able to read blueprints
- Ability to read paint codes and mix paint
- Strong understanding of safety procedures
- Capable of utilizing proper PPE
- Ability to utilize desktop computer systems, hardware and operating systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 1 year of industrial paint experience
