About This Role

The Packaging Supervisor leads night shift packaging operations, ensuring production targets are met while maintaining quality, food safety, and safety standards. This role involves active performance management of packaging operators and leads, fostering continuous improvement, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and ensure team adherence to safety guidelines and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Investigate and address safety incidents, near-misses, and hazards promptly
  • Oversee quality control measures to maintain product quality and consistency
  • Supervise and coordinate packaging activities, ensuring tasks are completed according to production schedules and quality standards
  • Monitor and audit packaging processes, using proactive planning to avoid challenges
  • Identify opportunities to improve packaging efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize production processes
  • Oversee routine maintenance and cleaning of packaging machinery, reporting malfunctions
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to production, quality control, and safety
  • Lead and motivate the team, providing guidance, training, and support
  • Conduct performance evaluations, provide feedback, and take corrective actions as needed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of supervisory / leadership experience in manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of beverage manufacturing processes, high-speed packaging equipment, safety and quality control standards

Qualifications

  • Associates/Bachelor’s degree and/or equivalent experience preferred
  • 5+ years of supervisory / leadership experience in manufacturing environment

Nice to Have

  • Experience in bottling or canning high speed operations
  • Demonstrated and effective use of computer skills such as MS office, Teams, OneNote, and email
  • Lean Management or similar program experience
  • Proven experience in creating, implementing and sustaining manufacturing processes and procedures
