Packaging Process Support Specialist

About This Role

As a Packaging Process Support Specialist, you will act as a line leader on the production or packaging floor, supporting the Operations Supervisor and leading daily activities to ensure efficient line operation, adherence to standards, and a focus on safety and continuous improvement at Sara Lee Frozen Bakery.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations of production or packaging lines, ensuring efficiency and smooth workflow
• Provide consistent support to the Operations Supervisor, maintaining seamless communication
• Ensure proper functioning of production and packaging equipment, resolving operational issues promptly
• Troubleshoot equipment malfunctions and collaborate with maintenance to address technical issues
• Oversee and coordinate day-to-day line activities to meet production goals
• Ensure adherence to internal standards and regulatory requirements (FDA, Quality Control)
• Assist in the training of new and existing production associates on equipment, safety protocols, and production standards
• Enforce safety protocols and procedures, including Lock Out/Tag Out (LOTO) and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements
• Maintain and improve product quality by ensuring adherence to quality control standards
• Contribute to continuous improvement efforts, identifying areas for enhancement and implementing lean practices

Requirements

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Minimum of one year of experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment
• Basic computer skills to utilize ERP system for entering and scanning ingredients and quantities
• Ability to effectively communicate with team members at all levels within the plant
• Ability to troubleshoot production issues and contribute to root cause analysis and problem-solving
• Ability to obtain and maintain a valid forklift/Powered Industrial Truck license
• Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) experience

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent
• A minimum of one year of experience leading teams in a manufacturing or production environment.
