This role is for an Overnight Veterinary Triage Assistant dedicated to providing critical patient care and client support in a fast-paced emergency veterinary environment. You will support veterinarians and technicians, triage incoming patients, and maintain treatment areas.
Responsibilities
- Triage and intake of incoming emergency patients
- Gathering patient histories and obtaining vitals
- Perform safe and effective patient restraint
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with diagnostics and treatments
- Dispense medications as directed
- Clean, restock, and maintain treatment areas
- Provide compassionate, professional client communication
- Demonstrate empathy and emotional intelligence during stressful situations
Requirements
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to stay calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Willingness to learn, grow, and take initiative
- Passion for emergency medicine and saving lives
Qualifications
- Veterinary Assistant or Animal Care experience preferred (not required)
