About This Role

This role is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the hotel's exterior grounds, public areas, and guest services support by transporting linens and delivering items to guest rooms. The house attendant plays a key role in ensuring guest satisfaction through meticulous upkeep of the hotel environment.

Responsibilities

  • Clean the parking lot and exterior grounds of the hotel
  • Transport clean and soiled linen to and from the laundry area to room attendants
  • Vacuum and shampoo carpeting, mop floors
  • Move and clean furniture
  • Remove trash from offices, guest hallways, and lobby area
  • Clean public restrooms, including those in the pool area, meeting/conference center, and office areas
  • Maintain cleanliness of the lobby area, meeting/conference center, business center, fitness room, and pool area
  • Deliver items to guest rooms per request
  • Report all damages to the department supervisor, manager, and other appropriate personnel
  • Demonstrate a commitment to guest service by responding promptly to guests' needs

Requirements

  • Ability to read and speak English and comprehend simple instructions
  • Ability to effectively communicate with employees, guests, and supervisors
  • Ability to lift, twist, bend, stretch, and exert up to 75 pounds of force occasionally

Qualifications

  • High School degree preferred

Nice to Have

  • Previous Housekeeping experience
