Outside Plant Engineer

About This Role

This role is for an experienced Outside Plant Field Engineer with US Work Authorization to join a growing team in Fayetteville, Arkansas. The successful candidate will perform scoping of OSP related projects and design outside plant fiber optic cable.

Responsibilities

• Understand and perform scoping of OSP related projects
• Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and project managers
• Design, provision, and document outside plant fiber optic cable (UG, Aerial, and Buried)
• Understand manhole and conduit design principles
• Read and interpret work prints from various drafting systems like AutoCAD and ARAMIS
• Take field notes following OSP Design Principles and transfer them into KMZ files
• Understand pole loading and ROW permit requirements
• Understand AT&T related OSP Wireline processes and guidelines
• Maintain efficient working timelines while multitasking several different projects
• Track work due dates and expectations

Requirements

• US Work Authorization
• Thorough understanding of various AT&T related OSP Wireline processes and guidelines
• Knowledge of OSP Design Principles
• Ability to understand manhole and conduit design
• Ability to read and understand work prints from AutoCAD and ARAMIS
• Understanding of pole loading and ROW permit needs
• ASE, F3, Site Walk & Greenfield experience
• Legally authorized to work in the United States of America

Qualifications

• Experienced OSP Field Engineer

Nice to Have

• Ability to transfer field notes into KMZ file
• Google Earth knowledge
• Understanding of FTTx and AT&T GPON design
