Outpatient Therapist

About This Role

Assess, diagnose, and provide clinical services for individuals and families with behavioral health disorders in an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities

• Apply psychotherapeutic techniques and interventions to treat diagnosed emotional and behavioral disorders
• Conduct psychosocial assessments and develop initial discharge plans
• Conduct individual, group, or family therapy sessions as appropriate for the treatment plan
• Provide initial treatment planning and coordinate additional services, revising as necessary
• Maintain documentation of therapy services according to facility and professional standards
• Maintain an assigned caseload
• Participate in treatment team meetings and collaborate with staff to facilitate patient services
• Perform case management, discharge, or aftercare planning as needed
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude towards customers

Requirements

• Master's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling or Human Services field
• One or more years’ experience working with comparable patient population
• Requisite state or national licensure for professional therapy providers or eligible for state licensure
• CPR certification
• De-escalation/restraint certification
