Operate heavy construction equipment such as bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, and motor graders for various construction projects. This role involves performing basic maintenance, conducting equipment inspections, and strict adherence to safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Operate power construction equipment (bulldozers, front-end loaders, backhoes, scrapers, motor graders, shovels, derricks)
- Run large pumps or air compressors
- Drive heavy construction equipment and control attachments (buckets, swing booms, scrapers, blades)
- Control water and air output of pumps and compressors
- Perform basic maintenance and repair of operated equipment
- Perform equipment and materials inspections
- Understand specifications and instructions, both verbal and written
- Adhere strictly to safety regulations
- Wear all proper personal protective equipment
- Work overtime including Saturdays and Sundays, with typical weekly hours meeting or exceeding 60 hours
Requirements
- MSHA Certification
- OSHA 10 hr Certification
- Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Valid Medical Card
- Ability to pass drug screening and a PAT (physical abilities’ test)
