Operate and maintain equipment safely and efficiently to ensure proper packaging of finished products, assisting with machine operations and maintaining a clean work area.
Responsibilities
- Maintain a safe work environment while performing job duties
- Set up Gaylord boxes and mark tares correctly, ensuring a sufficient supply for production demands
- Inspect each Gaylord box and liner to ensure cleanliness and suitability for use
- Weigh and package material correctly with neat and legible labels on each package
- Assist the machine operator on start-up and shut-down
- Keep a constant watch on vacuum chambers and finished product at coolers, notifying the shift supervisor of any issues
- Handle and store all finished product properly and efficiently, including bulk materials
- Keep area and tools neat, clean, and stored properly
- Break open, disassemble, clean, and reassemble coolers properly, responsible for all cooler cleaning on shift
- Stack all packages neatly, even in temporary storage
- Understand and follow all Safety, ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 established procedures
- Willingly work assigned hours, understanding that overtime can be assigned at any given time
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Score Silver or above on WorkKeys test
