Serve as the first point of contact for the Burton Center, performing general clerical and receptionist duties with a focus on communication and customer service for individuals with disabilities and special needs.
Responsibilities
- Answer, screen, and relay incoming telephone calls and place outgoing calls
- Greet and screen visitors, referring them to the proper person or area
- Type letters, forms, and correspondences for director and staff
- Maintain an adequate filing system
- Handle all incoming and outgoing mail, including delivery, pickup, sorting, and distribution
- Assist individuals, staff, and parents as needed
- Provide clerical support to other areas (ICF, SLP II, CTH II, EI, etc.)
- Check reports, purchase orders, invoices, and absentee reports
- Operate and maintain office equipment, including copiers
- Collect money and fees, provide accurate accounting, and make weekly vending deposits
- Maintain inventory of office supplies and order from various vendors
- Monitor checkbooks and in-house accounts for ICF individuals on a quarterly basis
- Reconcile bank statements with checkbooks for SLP II and CTH II monthly
- Track and request inspections for residencies and day programs
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or ability to pass a competency test
- Valid SC Driver's License
