Manage and control PMEL technical operations, production efficiencies, and training management at assigned sites. This role involves direct supervision of PMEL technicians, customer interface for calibration and maintenance, and oversight of budget and contracts.
Responsibilities
- Manage and control PMEL technical operations, production efficiencies, and training management at assigned sites
- Direct and assign Lead Technicians and PMEL technicians in troubleshooting, aligning, repairing, modifying, calibrating, and certifying TMDE
- Oversee safety and security practices
- Interface with customers to report and resolve calibration/maintenance support issues and limitations
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action determination meetings
- Interface with the Quality Manager to continuously improve laboratory operational effectiveness
- Plan, formulate, and oversee budget execution, manage contract funding, approve and monitor expenditures
- Serve as the primary interface with the Government Contracting Officer (CO) and/or Contracting Officer Representative (COR) and staff
- Formulate and enforce work standards, assign work schedules, and supervise PMEL personnel
- Administer all hiring and evaluation processes, and evaluate proposed problem solutions and trend analysis results to determine feasibility and cost
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 10 years US Air Force PMEL experience
- Ability to obtain and maintain an active security clearance
- Beginner to intermediate computer skills specifically using Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 10 years US Air Force PMEL experience. Preferred: Minimum of 6 years' recent experience in the management, administration and supervision of US Air Force PMELs in accordance with TO 00-20-14, plus a Bachelor's Degree.
