Operations & Client Manager

About This Role

This role is a hands-on leadership position for an Operations & Client Manager, responsible for building systems, leading internal teams, and ensuring smooth project execution, while managing a portfolio of client projects for a video production company.

Responsibilities

• Drive execution of the company’s 1-Year Plan, Quarterly Rocks, and business projects
• Participate in Level 10 meetings, ensuring Scorecards, Issues List, and To-Dos are maintained and followed up on
• Lead, manage, and hold accountable core team members (producers, editors, client managers)
• Create, iterate, and uphold clear roles, responsibilities, and expectations for each team member
• Own/Oversee the project pipeline from initial sale to final delivery
• Forecast capacity based on current and future workload, maintaining visibility into scheduling and resourcing
• Lead a portfolio of active client projects (3-5 at a time)
• Facilitate kickoffs, maintain client communication, and manage expectations
• Collaboratively build and optimize systems for project management, communication, and file delivery
• Understand and monitor project budgets, scopes, and profitability

Requirements

• Strong communicator and natural organizer
• Strategic thinker with a 6–12 month planning horizon
• Comfortable holding people accountable and giving feedback
• Experience managing a small team of people
• High attention to detail, even in creative environments
• Understands video production lifecycle and its many nuances

Nice to Have

• Previous client management or account leadership experience
• Ability to flex into a Producer role during high-volume periods
• Desire to cultivate business development alongside sales
• Ability to offer creative direction or feedback when the team needs it
• Familiarity with tools like Asana, Adobe, Vimeo, QuickBooks, or Canva
• Familiarity with EOS / Traction operating systems
