Operating Technician

About This Role

Operate and maintain assigned medical manufacturing equipment, troubleshoot machine issues, and ensure production quality while adhering to safety and quality protocols. This role involves performing routine maintenance and collaborating with engineering and quality teams to improve manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Operate all assigned equipment and oversee standard work according to department SOPs
• Conduct training for operators on standard work and troubleshooting techniques
• Recommend changes to operating procedures to improve quality and efficiency
• Contribute to continuous improvement programs including LPMS, 5S, KATA, and Kaizen events
• Troubleshoot machine/line stoppage, perform repairs, and escalate for technical support
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities during machine downtime
• Monitor production quality and take action according to standard work/SOP
• Complete appropriate documentation including batch records, log books, PM and DM as required
• Perform set-up and start-up for code changes according to equipment manuals and procedures
• Feed materials to machines, inspect, pack, and document products according to procedures

Requirements

• High school diploma/G.E.D
• 5-8 years related experience OR Technical requirements completed and pass assessment at appropriate level
• Regular and predictable on-site attendance
• Comprehensive working knowledge of technical field/area of specialization

Qualifications

• High school diploma/G.E.D required, Associate's or technical degree preferred
• 5-8 years related experience OR Technical requirements completed and pass assessment at appropriate level
