This On-Site Customer Supervisor supports the customer's shielding and related services at the manufacturing site, serving as the primary contact for inquiries and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Materion employed On-Site Shipping employee
- Develop a flexible inventory system to optimize levels and avoid stock-outs or obsolescence
- Assist in determining shielding needs with the engineering team for new equipment installs and system re-configurations
- Work with ABQ Ops team to prioritize orders and maintain quick cycle times for shield cleaning
- Provide and maintain a weekly inventory report of all shielding at Customer's facility and in-transit
- Notify the Customer's Buyer when additional spare parts are needed
- Provide a daily report outlining shielding shipments from Customer via email
- Provide reviews and written reports of the on-site cleaning program, detailing consumption, areas of improvement, opportunities, and failures
Requirements
- Associates degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Physics) or equivalent experience
- Work experience in shipping and receiving
- Experience with inventory control and stocking
- Experience with quality inspections
- Ability to operate office and warehouse equipment (computer, printer, copier, calculator, telephone systems)
- Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to work independently while maintaining open communication with sales, marketing, and operations groups
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Physics, or related field, or Equivalent Work Experience
- Work experience in shipping and receiving, inventory control and stocking, and quality inspections.
