Provide comprehensive, patient-centered occupational therapy services to inpatient clients (ages 12+) at Sheltering Arms Institute. This role involves patient examination, treatment plan development and administration, documentation, communication with team members, and clinical direction and supervision.
Responsibilities
- Provide quality, comprehensive, patient-centered occupational therapy services
- Conduct patient examinations (ages 12+)
- Develop and administer treatment plans
- Document patient progress and care
- Communicate with team members regarding patient care
- Provide clinical direction and supervision to licensed/non-licensed personnel
- Instruct therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- Virginia licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
- Healthcare professionals CPR certification
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
- Experience in an inpatient rehab setting preferred. Entry-level role.
Nice to Have
- Experience in an inpatient rehab setting
- Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
- Specialty practice certification
Certifications
Healthcare professionals CPR certification
