Occupational Therapist Float - Inpatient

About This Role

Provide comprehensive, patient-centered occupational therapy services to inpatient clients (ages 12+) at Sheltering Arms Institute. This role involves patient examination, treatment plan development and administration, documentation, communication with team members, and clinical direction and supervision.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality, comprehensive, patient-centered occupational therapy services
• Conduct patient examinations (ages 12+)
• Develop and administer treatment plans
• Document patient progress and care
• Communicate with team members regarding patient care
• Provide clinical direction and supervision to licensed/non-licensed personnel
• Instruct therapy support staff, students, other team members, and patient and/or caregivers

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
• Virginia licensure or eligibility for licensure as an Occupational Therapist
• Healthcare professionals CPR certification

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited occupational therapy program
• Experience in an inpatient rehab setting preferred. Entry-level role.

Nice to Have

• Experience in an inpatient rehab setting
• Master's or doctoral degree from an accredited occupational therapy program
• Specialty practice certification
