Nursing Informatics Specialist

About This Role

As a Nursing Informatics Specialist, you will bridge the gap between frontline nursing practice and advanced health information systems to ensure EHRs and clinical data tools support safe, efficient, and high-quality patient care, collaborating with AI research teams.

Responsibilities

• Translate nursing workflows and clinical needs into informatics and EHR system designs in collaboration with IT and technical teams
• Evaluate clinical and system data to identify trends, performance gaps, and opportunities to improve patient care and documentation quality
• Recommend and support enhancements to health information systems that improve care efficiency, usability, and clinical outcomes

Requirements

• Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical background with experience in clinical informatics or health IT
• Hands-on experience working with EHR systems (e.g., Epic, Cerner) and clinical documentation workflows
• Strong ability to analyze clinical and system data and translate insights into system or workflow improvements

Qualifications

• Experience in clinical informatics or health IT

• Prior experience with data annotation, data quality, or evaluation systems
