Nurse Practitioner

About This Role

The Nurse Practitioner will provide direct nursing care under the direction of management, managing health problems related to allergies, asthma, and immunology. This role involves performing physical exams, prescribing medications, and developing treatment plans while promoting high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Manage health problems related to allergies, asthma, and immunology
• Work independently and collaboratively with Physician and nursing staff
• Perform history and physical exams for new and established patients
• Prescribe appropriate medications and order diagnostic/laboratory tests
• Develop care plans and implement treatment plans based on clinical decisions
• Provide excellent, efficient, and patient-focused service in a fast-paced practice
• Work well with ancillary staff and management to support core values
• Travel to satellite offices, as needed

Requirements

• BSN with current nursing licensure
• Current APRN licensure
• Strong computer skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• 1-2 years of primary care experience
• CPR certification
• Valid Driver’s License
• Acceptable results on OIG, State Medicaid Exclusions, Abuse Registry Checks, Background Screenings, Drug Screen, and Sanction Checks
• Ability to travel to satellite offices as needed

Qualifications

• BSN with current licensure to practice nursing in the appropriate state
• 1-2 years of primary care experience, 5+ years allergy/asthma experience preferred

Nice to Have

• Five or more years allergy/asthma experience

Certifications
