Non-CDL Operator

About This Role

Jaunt, Inc. is hiring full-time NON-CDL Bus Operators to safely transport passengers in Charlottesville City and Albermarle County. The operators will be responsible for the safety of customers and equipment, performing routine vehicle inspections, and providing outstanding customer service.

Responsibilities

• Operate a transit vehicle to pick up, transport, and discharge passengers while adhering to route schedule
• Maintain a pleasant and courteous demeanor
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on transit vehicles for mechanical problems
• Maintain radio contact with dispatchers to report vehicles breakdowns, accidents, or service interruptions
• Adhere to all safety rules and regulations
• Maintain a professional appearance and observe operator dress code

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• Valid Virginia Driver's license with a positive point balance
• Ability to operate vehicle under safest possible conditions
• Ability to successfully complete operator 4-week training course
• Ability to use good judgement and common sense in making quick, safe decisions with minimal supervision
• Ability to listen, understand, and carry out information presented verbally or electronically

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED
• No prior experience required as operators will complete a 4-week training course.
