Night Receptionist

About This Role

Ensure the safety and security of multiple hotel properties during night hours while delivering exceptional guest service in line with company standards. This role involves assisting the Night Manager, handling guest queries, and supporting early morning staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Night Manager and all departments when necessary, showing teamwork and flexibility
• Maintain intimate knowledge of both the Bedrooms and Geography of the Hotel, including all fuse boxes
• Be confident with fire training and fire drill practices
• Responsible for assisting and providing 24-hour service to guests, assisting with queries and completing both check-ins and check-outs
• Assist Early Morning staff (Bakers, Cleaners, Restaurant, Kitchen, Porters) by issuing keys, stores, sorting out equipment problems and assisting with service
• Communicate with the Early Duty Manager through the Duty Manager Book or verbally on any on-going problems encountered in the night
• Support and take ownership of concierge-related requests throughout the night, ensuring completion within company standards
• Take ownership and ensure the stillroom is tidy and ready for early breakfast
• Order newspapers as per list and check forward planner for any other additional papers required for conferences
• Ensure the lounges, terraces and public areas are tidy and free of Restaurant and bar items and ready for final cleaning by Housekeeping
• Be confident with EPOS system to enter breakfast orders and any other room or bar service
• Diplomatically handle intoxicated late night revellers, preventing them from disturbing other guests or damaging Hotel Property
