Lead the operational setup and day-to-day functions of a new retail store, ensuring it is fully stocked, staff is trained, and operational processes are smooth and efficient from the ground up for a limited duration of up to 4 months.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all operational aspects of a new store opening, including store layout, merchandising, inventory control, and stock replenishment
- Coordinate and execute store openings in collaboration with cross-functional teams (marketing, HR, logistics, and visual merchandising)
- Ensure the store is ready for launch with all necessary operational systems in place (POS, stock systems, etc.)
- Hire, train, and manage a high-performing store team focused on delivering an exceptional customer experience
- Develop and implement training programs that equip staff with the skills to meet operational and customer service standards
- Oversee daily store operations to ensure efficiency, quality, and profitability
- Maintain and optimize inventory levels, ensuring that the store is always stocked with the right products
- Implement and monitor compliance with all company policies, procedures, and operational standards
- Monitor store performance, track sales targets, and work with the team to meet or exceed goals
- Manage store budgets, controlling costs and maximizing profitability
Requirements
- 5+ years of retail management experience
- 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
- Proven experience in opening new stores or managing large-scale retail operations
- Strong understanding of retail operations, including inventory management, visual merchandising, and sales forecasting
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire, motivate, and train a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Exceptional customer service skills and a passion for delivering an outstanding shopping experience
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
- Flexible, adaptable, and able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
- Proficiency in retail management systems, POS systems, and Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- 5+ years of retail management experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity
