Neurohospitalist

About This Role

Join a physician-led multi-specialty group as a BC/BE Neurologist to provide inpatient consultative care for stroke and general neurology patients at a Time Sensitive Emergency Level 2 (Primary) Stroke Center. This role works closely with Intensivists, Hospitalists, and Emergency physicians.

Responsibilities

• Care for stroke and general neurology patients at a Time Sensitive Emergency Level 2 (Primary) Stroke Center
• Work closely with Intensivists, Hospitalists, and Emergency physicians
• Provide diagnostic and patient care services including EMG, EEG (with web-based interpretation), TCD, and Botox injection
• Collaborate with a team of neurosurgeons, neurologists, and vascular neurologists within the Neuroscience Institute
• Cover a 5-day work week in the hospital, 7 am - 4 pm shift
• Handle stroke calls during regular shift hours

Requirements

• BC/BE Neurologist
• Successful completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited residency-training program in Neurology
• Obtain Idaho medical licensure and granting of privileges at Saint Alphonsus and affiliated hospitals as needed
• Valid controlled substance registration with Board of Pharmacy and DEA

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree

• Fellowship in Neurohospitalist Stroke, Neurovascular or other
