Network Administrator II (Infrastructure)

About This Role

Provide critical infrastructure support for the Air Force Intranet Control (AFINC) III Support program, focusing on network administration, traffic analysis, and problem resolution at Maxwell AFB/Gunter Annex.

Responsibilities

• Analyze and simulate network traffic to aid in problem resolution or to test updated configurations in virtual or physical lab environments
• Monitor system utilization and circuit bandwidth and report anomalies to Government team leads
• Escalate complex network issues to Senior Network Administrators
• Develop, execute, modify or remove scripts to assist in automation of tasks
• Review and document all workload activities per incident or change request for auditing/investigation purposes

Requirements

• 5+ years experience in network administration and support
• Must be Security+ certified
• Must be CCNA certified
• Experience installing, configuring, troubleshooting, upgrading, patching, and hardening routers, serial consoles, load balancers, and switches
• Ability to assess infrastructure, identify areas for improvement, and recommend solutions
• Knowledge of relevant server-side tools and technologies
• Experience with network monitoring and management using an automated solution
• Extensive experience with security as it pertains to network architecture, desktops, laptops, servers, firewalls, routers, and intrusion detection systems (IDS)
• Must be a US Citizen and hold a current Secret clearance

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED
• 5+ years experience in network administration and support

• CCNP certification
