MTSS Math Interventionist

About This Role

The MTSS Math Interventionist delivers targeted, data-driven math intervention to students identified through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports (MTSS). This role involves collaborating with the MTSS team and mentors to design, implement, and monitor interventions, fostering student growth in core mathematical skills, confidence, and engagement.

Responsibilities

• Deliver targeted math interventions aligned to MTSS tiers
• Provide small-group and individualized math intervention for students receiving Tier 2 and Tier 3 supports
• Implement evidence-based instructional strategies in math, including middle school pre-algebra, algebra, geometry, algebra II, and precalculus
• Differentiate instruction based on student data, learning goals, and identified skill gaps
• Monitor student understanding and adjust instruction to maximize progress
• Collaborate with the Williamsburg Academy of Colorado MTSS team and Williamsburg Learning math team
• Communicate regularly with the MTSS team regarding student progress, challenges, and intervention effectiveness
• Participate in MTSS meetings and contribute data-based insights and recommendations
• Track, document, and analyze student progress, maintaining accurate records of intervention sessions, attendance, and student performance
• Attend scheduled tutoring lab hours to provide supplemental math support to students and assist with classwork, assignments, and skill reinforcement

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of mathematical subject areas (middle school, Pre-Algebra, Algebra, Geometry, Algebra II, Precalculus)
• Demonstrated experience delivering math intervention within an MTSS framework or comparable data-driven intervention model
• Proven work experience with educational staff, students, and their families
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Computer experience with ability to adapt and learn various platforms (Canvas, Zoom, G-Suite, math tutoring software)

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a closely related field
• Demonstrated experience delivering math intervention within an MTSS framework or comparable data-driven intervention model, including progress monitoring and instructional adjustments. Proven work experience with educational staff, students, and their families.
