This role involves designing and implementing MRI research projects in partnership with luminary research collaborators. The scientist will drive innovative MR techniques, validate new applications clinically, and publish results to advance medical imaging technology.
Responsibilities
- Develop innovative MR techniques in close collaboration with academic partner(s)
- Validate new applications clinically driving collaborative research results
- Lead impactful publications, external grant applications, and/or patent applications
- Drive the publication of results at conferences and in world-class journals
- Identify, build, and foster strong collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the region
- Support the future MRI product development pipeline
- Coordinate with internal development teams and research partners for development, evaluation, and testing of prototypes and new products
- Keep customers and collaboration partners informed and up to date about United Imaging’s technologies
- Execute research contracts with support from legal, regulatory, and compliance
- Effectively communicate with United Imaging’s internal colleagues and leadership
Requirements
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Nuclear Engineering, or related fields
- Detailed knowledge of MRI
- Strong clinical and/or technical background in the field of MRI with a proven track record of scientific publications
- Proficiency in MRI pulse sequence and/or reconstruction programming and/or other programming languages
- Proven ability in leading research projects and collaborations
- Excellent communication & presentation skills
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English
Qualifications
- Ph.D. or equivalent experience in Medical Physics, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Nuclear Engineering, or related fields with detailed knowledge of MRI
- A strong clinical and/or technical background in the field of MRI with a proven track record of scientific publications. Experience with high field MRI technologies is a plus.
