This summer internship at MoMA provides practical experience in the Department of Drawings and Prints, focusing on the Silverman Fluxus Collection. The intern will assist an Assistant Curator with research, imaging, cataloging, and general support for the collection, contributing to an upcoming exhibition and performance series.
Responsibilities
- Assist an Assistant Curator with research for the Silverman Fluxus Collection
- Perform imaging and cataloging tasks for the Silverman Fluxus Collection
- Provide general support for the Silverman Fluxus Collection
- Contribute to the Fluxus Advisory Committee
- Support an upcoming exhibition and performance series related to Fluxus
- Assist a Collection Specialist on acquisitions and documentation
- Contribute to the research, imaging, and cataloging work that advances scholarly and public engagement with Fluxus
- Gain hands-on experience in curatorial workflows, including acquisitions, collection documentation, and archival integration
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of college completed (or equivalent) by June 2026
- Academic background in Art History or a related field
- Strong research skills
- Strong writing skills
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Attention to detail
Qualifications
- Academic background in Art History or a related field
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with museum cataloging systems or archival practices
- Interest in postwar and contemporary art, performance, or Fluxus
